Taking A Blogging Break

I have been so busy after Christmas that I haven't had any time to write...When I did have time, I was way too tired to sit in front of the computer screen, and let's face it - a blog is only fun when you are enjoying writing, not when it feels like a chore.

I shall be back soon, when I feel like writing again...maybe in a week or so.

Boxing Day Madness

Hello Everyone! I don't know about you guys, but personally, I like to stay inside on Boxing Day. This meaning I try to avoid shopping malls at all costs and pretend Boxing Day does not exist. The problem is that I work inside the shopping mall. At a BIG electronics store. This store being Future Shop. For those of you outside of Canada, Future Shop is one of the most well known, successful, knowledgeable, and busiest electronics stores in Canada.

It's pretty much the worst place to be for 12 hours straight on Boxing Day. Why yes, of course I got stuck working a 5am to 5pm shift today. Wasn't the loveliest day to work, but at least the company provided us with limitless subway sandwiches and cookies throughout the day...

This is how I feel about working on boxing day - scared for my life!

How do you guys feel about shopping on Boxing Day? Do you feel satisfied with the good deals you are getting or would you rather skip this sales event and hide away? If you did go shopping on Boxing Day, what did you purchase?

Merry Christmas To All Of You!

It is quite late at night and I just got home from my parents house but I thought I would write a quick blog wishing you a merry Christmas and happy holiday time spent with your families...I hope you are all having a wonderful time with your loved ones just as I did this evening!

For those of you away from home, missing family, or just feeling lonely - remember that you are not alone - no matter how you may feel, there will always be people that care about you and love you more than you know. Of course, you can always count on me (yes, I know I have a total of zero followers but whoever happens to read this post - I am here). You should not feel alone on Christmas or any other day of the year!

Now, I don't know up you guys, but in Romania I grew up with the tradition of opening presents on Christmas Eve, not Christmas morning. So after work today I went over to my parents house and we spent this lovely evening with friends over dinner and opened presents at the end of the night. Here is what I received for Christmas. How did you spend Christmas, what is your favourite part of the holidays, and what did you get as presents?

I've Ordered A Glymm Box!

For those of you that don't know what a Glymm Box is, it's something you can subscribe to that will deliver to you a box every month which contains 5 deluxe beauty samples from a variety of brands. It's similar to Glossy Box or any other beauty box that is out there.

I have never tried anything like this before, but after comparing and reading reviews about various beauty boxes, I decided Glymm Box was the best one to try. There were mixed reviews about this beauty box, many people saying that it was a hit or miss kind of surprise...I'm hoping mine will be a hit! I will report back to you if I think the products are any good or if they are just a complete fail.

Has anybody tried out beauty boxes before? If you have, what is your opinion of them? Which one(s) did you try out and what were your favourites? Comment below as I would love to hear about your experiences with beauty boxes!

A Little About Me...

I thought it would be nice to introduce myself to the bloggers of the interweb but I didn't want to make this a long and boring introduction...so instead I made this list of notable facts about myself:

• I am of Romanian nationality
• I am 20 years old and my birthday is on the 1st of November
• I reside in Vancouver, Canada in a basement suite with a wonderfully sweet roommate and three obnoxious cats named Ziggy, Pipin, and Ernie
• Interestingly enough (who would want to marry ME?!), I have been asked a total of 2 times for hand in marriage, both to which my answer was no - the first guy claimed he started doing drugs because of me and the second one got deported
• I do not drink or smoke
• I try hard to make people laugh and appreciate when people think I am funny
• My favourite beverage is Licorice Spice Tea from Stash
• I am attempting the Vegan diet but the last time I tried it, sushi was my downfall
• My favorite lipstick at the moment is Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti, a pretty orange colour
• I am an iPhone user
• My eyes are green and my natural hair colour is brown. It has been dyed a soft black for a year and a half now but I would like to go back to my natural colour soon
• I am a believer in the Ancient Astronaut Theory (if you want to know more about this theory check out Erich von Daniken's book "Chariots Of The Gods" - quite a fascinating book in my opinion)

My name is Sanda and I've decided to start a blog - How exciting! In this blog I will be writing about everyday life experiences, beauty and fashion as well as product reviews, motivational/happy posts, and maybe even some bits and pieces about my life whenever anything remotely interesting happens.
